My Celtic Tour Installment 6

The Beautiful countryside, rich in History.

We went to Inverness -Culloden-BlairAtoll-Edinburg.

The site of the Battlefield of Culloden was so interesting in its history. The 1745 Jacobite Rebellion was where the last Scottish army and Prince Charles Edward Stuart (aka Bonnie Prince Charles) launched an attempt to reclaim his grandfather's throne, King James VII of Scotland. They lost. The Jacobites Those clans and people that were supporters of the throne mainly were Catholics of the Scottish Highlands.

This little thatched-roof cottage would be perfect for an Art Studio....not sure of the bathroom or running water facilities would be, but I could get Gary to remodel....haha,

I still am amazed by the fact that these relics are centuries old and many ancestors continue to come and place flowers of remembrance

On this sight they also had these cows....affectionately called "Hairy Coos"

Pretty muddy, and we left our rain boots in the coach...so we tiptoed back to the coach and we were on the next stop.....Blair Castle.....
